Early breakfast (from 05:00) before visiting Lake Sandoval, a serene ox-bow lake inside the protected Tambopata National Reserve. Paddle quietly in a dug-out canoe along rainforest streams, observing birds, red-bellied macaws, endangered giant river otters, red howler monkeys, anacondas, black caimans, and side-neck turtles. Return to the lodge for lunch. Climb the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, to spot toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, monkeys, and sloths. Descend to take the Anaconda Walk, a 30-minute trail on a 200-meter raised wooden platform over flooded aguajales swamps, observing birds, amphibians, mammals, and exotic flora.
